-- Rich Dreher has announced that enough orders have been received to
begin production on a 4th run of the CompactFlash for Apple II card.
Rich has stated that some new modifications will be made to this card,
including a non-removable CLPD, and inclusion of his 3-wire modification
for all-CompactFlash compatibility. Other modifications, card description
and ordering information can be found at:
http://spudboy.dreher.net/CFforAppleII

-- Transferring files from the internet to your Apple II has always been a
problem, especially if youre unfortunate enough that your only other
computer is a Windows-based machine. The program ADT has been used for
several years to help make transfers from machine-to-machine via a serial
connection, but its top speed was limited to the SuperSerial Cards 19.2k
transfer rate. Ed Eastman has done a rewrite of the program to increase
the speed to a blazing 115200 baud. This new version can be downloaded
from Eds website at: http://www.applelinc.org/files/ADT/ADT_2005.zip for
the files that go on to your Windows machine, and
http://www.applelinc.org/files/ADT/adt.dsk for the Apple II files

-- CALL-A.P.P.L.E. has begun a new archiving venture and is in the
process of scanning in all of the Beagle.Bros software manuals. This is a
work-in-progress, and scanning is being handled when theres both time to
do the work, as well as when copies of the manuals reach them. An updated
list of whats been scanned so far can be found at:
http://www.callapple.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=4.

-- If you've been into the Apple II long enough, you may remember the
ProFile drive, the 5- and 10-meg hard drive for the Apple II and Lisa
computers. Most of these 20+ year-old drives are no longer functional,
but some people have wanted replacements for these systems. Enter Sigma
Seven Systems and their X/ProFile, an interface between the Apple
Profile's parallel interface protocol using more modern IDE drives. If
you're interested in ressurecting your ProFile, visit them at:

  - If you're into games and role-playing on your Apple II, you no doubt
